Our final concert of the season features Lili Boulanger’s D’un matin de printemps alongside Strauss’s Four Last Songs, which are the ultimate romantic orchestral songs. The concert closes with Nielsen’s Third Symphony which grows from an opening motif that the composer is said to have jotted down on his sleeve while riding a streetcar.
